The germinal ground for Tacturiency was the project Fragile Materials, a 3 month residency undertaken by Clare Thornton at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, 2011. As part of this residency, Thornton invited Cocker to join her for 1 week to explore shared ideas around the motif of the fold and various conceptualizations of folding.
